It's hard to believe but the Holiday season is officially upon us. Time for family, food, and friends! And let us not forget my favorite part...holiday shopping and baking! I'm so excited for this time of year that I could practically burst! I always look forward to going out after dinner to snag up some great deals. Don't judge me...I work retail and I love working this time of year! I will be working early tomorrow morning so I have to get a few deals tonight while I can!
I thought I would throw together a quick, small project that I had intended to get posted yesterday, but I didn't get finished and pictures taken before I had to leave for work. Better late than never thought, right? So in case you need a last minute project or something to file away for next year; here is a place card made using those layered pumpkins from the Autumn door card that I previously posted. Which, by the way, no one signed up for so I guess I will be keeping those babies for myself! They would have made a great hostess gift...hint hint, nudge nudge...

I used small pieces of craft colored cardstock and a dark green cardstock. The leaves behind the pumpkin using the Martha Stewart branch punch and of course, the pumpkin was made using a small oval punch just as I did in the door card. Only this time, I dry embossed the orange paper before punching the ovals out. After creating all of my layers; I used a gold leafing pen to write the names and go around all of the edges. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the gold leaf gives it a more finished look. I like to think of it as a good mix of fun and elegance.
So, without further ado....enjoy your holiday and check back soon for the 12 Days of Christmas cards; beginning on December 1st. Along with MANY great ideas for decor and packaging! Happy Thanksgiving!
